Please describe here in brief what your activities were during your traineeship

I developed a new test bench for rolling resistance measurement using an existing measuring apparatus. This included:

• Coming up with the idea, designing and setting up the test bench.

• Adapting the sensor technology and further developing the electronics.

• Developing a data analyses environment.

• Taking and analysing measurements.

How did you become aware of the traineeship at DT Swiss?

I’d known about DT Swiss for a long time as a manufacturer of high-quality bicycle components. I came across the internship offer through the website.
 

What makes DT Swiss different from other employers?

The atmosphere at the company and the mentality of the people who work here is rare to find. I felt very comfortable in the team and liked interacting with like-minded colleagues.
 

What were you able to take from your time at DT Swiss?

I found the insight into the bicycle industry very interesting and valuable. By being responsible for the implementation of my project myself, I was able to learn a lot and will certainly benefit from the valuable experience!

What was your personal highlight during your traineeship?

Launching the test bench. When I realised that my design worked and provided usable data, I felt a great sense of accomplishment.

And what does the time after your traineeship hold in store for you?

I am starting an MSE master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering at FHNW.
