The U 683 rim features a larger rim cross section to increase its resistance to the higher weight of e-touring bike. Approved for a maximum system weight of 180 kg, this 27.5" rim will allow users to commute in the city or discover new paths, promising superior wheel resistance, even under heavy loads. Available with 28 or 32 spoke holes and a 35 mm inner rim width.

Caution when choosing brake pads for wheels with rim brakes!
- Only "SwissStop Black Prince" brake pads may be used on carbon rims.
- Only "SwissStop BXP Blue" brake pads may be used on OXIC rims.
The use of incorrect brake pads can cause the rim to fail. DT Swiss takes no responsibility in this case. Please also note that brake pads which were previously used on aluminum rims must not be used on carbon rims. The aluminum abrasion in the brake pad can destroy the carbon. For further information about your wheel, please refer to the user manual.

As wider rims have developed, so have wider tires. However, the different tire and rim widths are not universally compatible. Essentially: The wider the rim, the wider the tires that can be fitted.
